Boss was a bit grumpy. Otherwise it was great.

Only know the Vilstalsäge from the outside. The way there along the Vils is worth walking.

High quality food. Very good cook and very friendly service.

Due to the gluten intolerance of our daughter, we deliberately went to this restaurant and were not disappointed in any way. The food was just amazing, coupled with the ambience and the lovable nature of the owner, we had a wonderful and unforgettable evening. According to our daughter, the best gluten-free spaetzle of her life .... We can only recommend this restaurant ... Thank you for the great evening!

We were again extremely satisfied when we stopped at the Vilstalsäge for lunch on the day of the unit. We look forward to our next visit. All the best Fam. Schellenberger for the upcoming Corona autumn!

We chose the restaurant because, according to the website, the menu varies and is varied every week. That is exactly what excited us that evening in the Vilstalsäge! In addition to the classic dishes and Allgäu specialties, you could also choose between vegetarian dishes and original game dishes. The food was outstanding, the service was very friendly, the ambience was cozy, and the homemade cakes were a dream! We can only recommend the Vilstalsäge to everyone!

Were there today. Very friendly staff and good service. Despite the many guests, everything went very quickly. Definitely worth a visit if you are on this trail 👍

Incredibly rude waitress / boss. Instead of charmingly advising not to sit down at a table with glasses from previous guests due to Corona, we were rudely and snippetly pointed out. Even if new guests came, they would be advised of face masks. I recommend maybe the landlady to help in the kitchen instead of grieving the guests if she is not in the mood for customers!

Was a goal on an evening hike. We knew the kitchen was open until 8pm. We arrived at 7.45 p.m. and were received very impolitely and were also given nothing to eat as the last order would be possible until 7.30 p.m. Not even a simple cheese bread or the like was possible. Otherwise we didn't feel welcome. A shame because it is actually very cozy there.

Highly recommended. Cozy dining room and very nice and courteous boss. The food was based on food intolerance and tasted very, very good. We would love to come back. One should reserve.

Unfortunately, they no longer had the delicious weed soup on their menu. The homemade bread with lard made up for it more than compensated me. The service is very competent and friendly. On my next vacation I will be happy to come back to this idyllic place.

Very unfriendly staff, we were not greeted and it was only said we didn't need to sit down, there was nothing left! And at 7 p.m. Would never go there again and would not recommend it. This behavior is a cheek!

We hadn't been there for a long time and the new operators surprised us very positively: fresh, regional and seasonal products prepared in-house and, in addition, super friendly service. A top address in the Pfronten region that can use this well.

Super Service. Meals are really big, one has a problem to eat what is served.
